Hello, I’m Sana.
I am a designer, researcher, and organizational leader who brings science out of the lab and into the world.
I serve as co-founder at Aurelia Institute, where I’ve driven architectural design and human-centered design strategy for space habitats. I am also a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab Space Exploration Initiative, where I study astronaut interaction in microgravity as research lead for the Astronaut Ethnography project.
Previously, I have designed visualizations for genomics applications at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, developed open source quantum software and IDEs for IBM Quantum, and taught design & prototyping at the University of Washington and Yale University.
